Favorite Volumizing Hair Products
I’m on a never ending quest to find the best volumizing hair products on the market. I’ve tried so many products that it seemed like a good time to compile a list of my favorites. Keep reading for my favorite big hair products and what I like about them.
One – Aquage uplifting foam is the G.O.A.T.(greatest of all time) for me. Spray this directly at your roots, massage it in, and blow dry. I almost always use this with a volumizing spray throughout the ends of my hair.
Two – Verb volume dry texture spray is my favorite volumizing spray. Use this on dry hair after styling to give it volume and a matte piecey texture. It gives just enough body and hold with out making your hair feel like it has a weeks worth of product in it.
Three – Amika Brooklyn bombshell – Amazing for giving all over body and a little bit of hold from roots to ends. This doesn’t feel heavy but it definitely provides a noticeable difference in the texture of your hair.
Four – Alterna Caviar Multiplying volume mist – I’ve used this for a long time, similar to the Amika spray but more lightweight.
Five – AG weightless volumizing foam – this is the closest thing to a one and done product on this list. Provides heat protection, reduces frizz and adds body.
Six (A) – Krisitin Ess Thickening Spray – this is new to me but I like it alot and it reminds me of the Amika bombshell blowout.
Six (B) – Kristin Ess Volumizing Mousse – I’ve been using this with the thickening spray and I like it. Its a traiditional mousse but I focus it on my roots and then just massage it around and comb it out.
Creating volume in your hair is all about layering the right products, so I use some combination of these products to create the style I want. Remember to use a good moisturizing conditioner a few times a week, sometimes I focus so much on volume I forget that my hair needs hydration as well.
Have you tried any of these products? I would love to hear your thoughts and questions in the comments!
